Pumpkin Walk 2010!!!

October means one thing in Syracuse, Utah: Pumpkin Walk time!!! We are so excited to be preparing for this year's Pumpkin Walk! We appreciate Black Island Farms so much for generously donating all of the pumpkins for this event. We simply could not do it without them! Last year we had around 1,000 carved pumpkins (Jack-0-lanterns) and we are looking forward to that same amount this year. Here is some quick info on the Pumpkin Walk:

*October 21, 22 & 23 from 7-10 PM
1751 S. 2000 W. (Behind the police station)
Syracuse, Utah

*The event is free for everyone!

*We start carving about 10-14 days before the event. If you are interested in helping us carve, please contact the Syracuse City Recreation Center at 801-614-9660. Youth groups, scout troops, neighborhood parties, individuals! Everyone is welcome to carve! We need all the help we can get to get all these pumpkins carved! =)

*Concessions will be sold at a nominal price by the Syracuse City Police Department.

*Please leave your pets at home.

*Costumes are most welcome!

*This is not a spook alley. This event is friendly for everyone of all ages, babies to senior citizens, to everyone in between!

*We are pleased to have members of the Alpine Garrison 501st visiting on Thursday and Saturday nights. If you have never seen these guys (and gals) before, you don't want to miss them! They are people who dress up as Star Wars characters (the bad guys!), and their costumes would make George Lucas proud! All Jedi, be forewarned... (They will be accepting donations for Toys for Tots, if you feel so inclined.)

*Questions? Please post them, and we will make sure and answer them!

Here are some pictures from last year:
